As someone journeying with the Divine, you bring the answers already inside you. Jen will gently sit by your side on this journey and reflect back the wisdom they see in you to help discover where the Divine is inviting and leading.

zoom individual or group sessions
A sacred space can be wherever we meet with The Divine. Given today’s technology, that doesn’t have to be in an office setting, face-to-face. Even a tele-conferecing platform like Zoom can be a sacred space. Whether you live in another state or live locally and feel more comfortable meeting on screen, we will meet the Divine there.

coffee house individual sessions
We’ll need to find a little nook in the back, so as not to be overheard, but exploring your path together in a coffee shop is a casual space to invite the Divine in. We can order our favorite pour over or cold brew, and meet!

desert botanical garden individual sessions
Seasonal (October- April)
Many connect with the Divine in nature. They need to withdraw to the wilderness for prayer and contemplation. They see the majesty and power of the Divine in the mighty saguaro reaching towards the sky, or they hear the Divine’s whisper in the wind. Maybe, through nature, they see the Divine’s creativity, and it testifies to Their existence. Whatever it is that connects you to the Divine through nature, we can walk together in the beauty of the desert.
If you’d like to meet at the Desert Botanical Garden, please let Jen know when you schedule with them. Jen’s membership will cover your entry into the garden.
confidentiality
Spiritual directors are ethically bound to confidentiality. It is important that clients feel safe. Strict confidentiality ensures that directees are able to share their deepest feelings and most important life experiences. There are, however, some important exceptions to keep in mind.
As a mandatory reporter, Jen is required by law to report any and all suspected child abuse, dependent adult ,or elder abuse. Under AZ law, Jen is required to notify the appropriate authorities immediately if and when they suspect a minor, dependent or elder is being abused.
If a directee is threatening serious bodily harm to another person(s), Jen must notify the police, as well as the intended victim.
If a client admits to having plans of, and is in danger of, committing suicide, Jen will make every effort to get that client to safety.
code of ethics
Jen’s code of ethics as a spiritual director requires that they work periodically with an experienced spiritual direction supervisor who will help them become a better spiritual director. In supervision, Jen does not share any names or specific identifying characteristics with their director.
Some general content from a session may be shared so that Jen may learn more about themself and grow as a spiritual director. The content in the case studies they present to their supervisor is kept in the vein of confidentiality.
Jen receives supervision on a monthly basis.
Clients, however, are not bound by any code of confidentiality. They are free to share anything from their sessions with another person.
